DESCRIPTION

THIS VERY ATTRACTIVE DOUBLE WALNUT BEDSTEAD, IS IN THE TYPICAL STYLE OF LOUIS XV, CIRCA 1910. HAVING BEEN RECENTLY HAND PAINTED IN FARROW & BALL CREAM

THE HEADBOARD STANDS 60" HIGH, WITH ITS SUPER HAND CARVED UNUSUAL ROCCO CREST, AND PRETTY CARVING DECOR TO THE SHOULDERS. 

THE BASEBOARD STANDS 35" HIGH AND THIS HAS  PRETTY CARVED SHELL DETAILING TO THE TOP OF THE BASE AND DECOR TO THE FRONT.  

STANDING ON HAND CARVED WALNUT ESCARGO FEET, THE BED RETAINS THE ORIGINAL WOODEN SIDE RAILS, WHICH HAVE THE CARVED DETAILING TO MATCH THE BED. 

 THIS LOVELY BEDSTEAD WILL ENHANCE ANY HOME, OLD OR NEW. BEING IN  GOOD CONDITION THROUGHOUT, READY FOR USE, THERE ARE A FEW AGE BLEMISHES AS TO BE EXPECTED OF FURNITURE OF THIS AGE. A SMALL PIECE OF DECOR IS MISSING FROM THE FRONT FOOT, NOT DEROGATORY.

(THIS BEDSTEAD CAN BE CONVERTED TO A 5FT, WITH JUST A LITTLE OVERHANG AT THE SIDES, PLEASE ASK FOR DETAILS)

THIS BEDSTEAD WILL TAKE A STANDARD DOUBLE 4FT 6"  MATTRESS. BUT DOES REQUIRE A BASE, YOU CAN EASILY FIX WOODEN SLATS OR WE CAN SUPPLY A SLATTED BASE AS PER MY EBAY SHOP.
