ANTIQUE English Sterling Silver thimble by, GEORGE GOODMAN, BIRMINGHAM. At 107 years old this thimble is in superb condition. No needle holes, dents or distortions. The base rim is still in the round. A good set of Hallmarks as follows:- Size 3. G.G. ANCHOR, the Assay stamp for Birmingham. LION PASSANT, indicating English Sterling Silver. Lower register classic c., the date letter for 1902! The thimble has a generous plain base band that carries the Hallmarks. The body is covered in very fine verticle lines, over cut with three lines of  a multi star shaped Daisy Head pattern. These also cover the dome. It measures 22. mm. tall, with a base diameter of 15. mm. It weighs 2.8. grams. The thimble comes with it's own deep Blue, fully lined luxury retail Jeweller's box, specifically designed to hold a thimble. This beautiful leather box unfortunately does not carry a name.
