Beautiful ANTIQUE English Sterling Silver thimble by, CHARLES HORNER of HALIFAX. The thimble is 103 years old and in very fine condition. No needle holes, dents or distortions. The base rim is a mere tad out of round. Almost unoticable. A good set of English Hallmarks as follows:- Size 9. C.H. LION PASSANT, indicating English Sterling Silver. CHESTER CITY SHIELD, the Assay Office stamp. Upper register Itallic style F., the date letter for 1906. It has a flat rolled base rim which carries the Hallmarks. The bottom half of the casing has a very fine verticle line design. This is over cut with a single line of Daisy Heads. Th remainder of the thimble is covered in the classic Honeycombe pattern. It measures 20. mm. tall, with a base diameter of 16. mm. It weighs in at 3.4. grams.
