ANTIQUE ENGLISH 9K GOLD HARDSTONE CAMEO RING MERCURY A lovely quality antique English, solid 9 carat rose gold ring; beautifully made, with ornate split shoulders and set with a terrific red & white sardonyx hardstone cameo, hand carved to depict the god Mercury wearing his winged helmet, also the American football helmet used by the University of Michigan and other colleges.
A high quality, very attractive and wearable cameo ring - collectable too!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use, no loss or damage. Wants a light clean.
DEFECTS: None.
DATE/MARKS: English hallmark for B'ham 1912. Maker's marks rubbed.
DIMENSIONS: Head 10 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
RING SIZE: Just under L or 6 US (easily sized within reason).
WEIGHT: Approx. 2.5 grams.
