ANTIQUE CHINESE WHITE JADE CARVING--FISH


Dimension: length 5.2 cm; width 3.7 cm; thickness 0.9 cm.

On auction is an old Chinese white jade carving featuring a fish. This piece is sculpted from a rectangle-shaped thick white jade slice. It's remarkably thick compared with other jade carvings. The fish is jumping out of water and holding a "Ru-yi" in its mouth. Every detail is accurately carved. There is a seal on the back with two characters--"Ping An", meaning peace and safety.
