Up for bid is an Antique Celluloid Compass with mirror, magnifiers, & can be used as binoculars.  The compass has a printed paper face with blue steel arrow pointer.  The paper label says BAVARIA on it.  The compass is 3 1/8" long x 1 3/4" wide x 7/8" thick in the closed position.  The magnifiers open up on both ends of the compass to form a binocular style spy glass, the small end moves in and out for focus.  The back side of the compass has a mirror for signaling, the magnifiers could probably be used to start a fire.  The celluloid body of the compass has darkened with age and has a dark golden hue.  One of the large magnifiers has a crack where it attaches to the compass, I tried to show this in the pictures.  One of the small magnifiers has had a pin replaced.  The compass is in good working order.  This set comes with an old cardboard box, it is not original to the compass, but the compass was in this box when I got it.  Overall, it is in good used condition.  I believe that this compass is from the 1890's to early 1900's.
