A WONDERFUL ANTIQUE PAGE TURNER AND READING RULER, WHICH I BELIEVE TO BE EBONY, ALTHOUGH MAY BE A HARDWOOD COLOURED. PROBABLY VICTORIAN AND I EXPECT DUE TO THEIR SIZE THEY MAY HAVE BEEN MADE FOR A BIBLE. BOTH ARE INTRICATELY CARVED WITH FLOWER DETAIL. THE PAGE TURNER HAS SOME WEAR ON BOTH SIDES AND AROUND THE END OF THE BLADE. THE HANDLE IS IN GREAT CONDITION, BUT THERE IS A SMALL AREA OF WEAR TO THE EBONY ON ONE SIDE, I AM SURE THIS COULD EASILY BE REPOLISHED. THE RULER IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH NO DAMAGE AT ALL. IT IS SIX SIDED AND WOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED ACROSS THE PAGE AND MOVED AS EACH LINE WAS READ.  THE PAGE TURNER MEASURES 14 INCHES LONG AND THE READING STICK MEASURES 16 INCHES LONG. EXCELLENT ITEMS, RARE TO FIND AND VERY STRONG DISPLAY PIECES.
