A beautiful early 1900's round society silk embroidery doily/topper that measures a large 14 1/4" in diameter. The intricate pansies embroidery is done in pale shades of cream, lavender and pink with scalloped edges done in cream/gold. This is a nice example of society silk embroidery that has exceptional detail. It is done on fine, lightweight white linen and is in good condition with no stains. There is, however, a very small hole near one edge that I show in my last photo. I gave this one a careful laundering so it is fresh, ironed and ready to display. A beautiful doily to add to your society silks collection!
