Segal Fine Art was the publisher of well know artists during the 1980's and early 1990's. All the images are hand signed and numbered from limited editions. Most are on canvas and some are on rice paper. All artists have wonderful bio's which are covered in each item description. The Gairagossian Collection is the personal collection of Alex Gairagossian consisting of some 250 different fine high end works of art, watches, coins and sports memorabilia. Item Description

This is an original ONE-OF-A-KIND monotype by renowned American artist, Ann Dergara(sometimes seen as Degara). One of the artist's more figurative pieces, an organic form of debatable orgin is clearly visible in the monotypes center. Entitled "Depiction", vibrant colors and skillful composition depict a subject whose figure is up for interpretation. The monotype strikingly contrasted against white somerset paper is unmissable! Dergara's work is included in many prominent collections, such as the Philip Morris and IBM Corporation, and was used in the 2006 HGTV "Dream Home". Additionally, she is in the permanent museum collections of the Marietta-Cobb Art Museum Marietta, GA and the Musee'de Montaut, Chalosse, France. This is obviously the work of a master printmaker!!:

This biographical information was located on the artist's website: "The enthusiasm with which Ann DerGara approaches her art is a lifelong passion. Born to Norwegian-German parents who recognized and nurtured her creative abilities, the Greenville, South Carolina native sold her first painting five years prior to beginning her formal education at Georgia State University. In 1978, a printmaking course at Atlanta College of Art led her to Dick Williams and the innovative and contemporary Odyssey Studio. The artist pursued the etching and the collagraph, later the serigraph, and in 1990 began monoprinting. Her mastery of the art of printmaking is described as remarkable. Yet painting remains DerGara's first love, and a vibrant testament to her profound talent. Santiago Leon of ARTEFINO speaks for many admirers that Ann's work is typical of an artist assured of her own talent; it is unconstrained, blending great skill and maturity with the free spirit of a child."
