A VERY IMPORTANT & HEAVY SILVER SALT
9cms diameter.
SILVER WEIGHT-9.08oz (troy)
Hallmarked London - 1749


This very impressive, rare salt, is in excellent/mint condition. Fully gilded inside with no dents or dings. Decorated with grape vines divided by bacchanalian masks & a family crest, beneath a gadroon scalloped rim. Supported on 3 shell feet. Hallmarked London 1749 by the important maker Edward Wood.
