A very rare Irish alter boys chair, the wood is possibly sycamore. Lightly carved and coloured on the back with shamrocks and a celtic cross; on the seat, an Irish harp and four shields, each depicting the coat of arms for each province; Ulster, Leinster, Connacht and Munster.

Condition:  No visible chips or splits but the legs which screw in have pieces missing on the screw part. Well worn giving a super patina that can only come from age. The two wedges that hold the back to the seat are missing.
