This is an Interesting Rare Original Pencil and Wash Study of a Nautical Scene in Cornwall. It is Titled, "A NIGHT OF TERROR IN POLPERRO".  It was drawn by British Artist, "ALFRED HARCOURT around 1900, possibly as a study for an Oil Painting. It has a label on the reverse showing Provenence of Mrs. Alfred Harcourt, West Loos, Cornwall. It is signed with initials in pencil lower left, and inscribed across the bottom of the drawing. It shows a Pencil and Watercolour Wash drawing of a group of Fishermen dragging ropes against strong seas at Polperro during a fierce storm. It is Unframed, but mounted ready for framing. It is in Good condition. apart from a number of folds in the paper, which do not detract from the scene at all. It  measures 9 3/4 inch by 7 inch, (24.7cm x 17.8cm).
