Al
Bowlly with Arthur Briggs
Song of The
Wanderer/Halleluja
Deutsch Grammophon

Sorry
to the previous bidders and watchers of this item prior to me removing
it. I am in the process of transferring my 78s to digital, as my
Turnable had developed a serious fault and as I regretfully had not
already transferred many of them I decided that it was best to remove
my
items until the fault had been fixed, I did not know how long it would
take to fix. My Turnable has now been fixed and all items listed from
now that I wish to transfer have been transferred. Many apologies
again, the auction of the Bowllys will now continue, all removed items
will be re-listed shortly and there are many, many more to come.
I have a large amount of Al Bowlly 78s to list over the coming weeks
and
month, some rare 78s to list, please keep a look out, discs listed every Friday to Monday. Please CLICK

This is a very rare Al Bowlly 78, his first ever Vocal recording made
in Berlin, Germany in 1927, these were only ever issued in Germany and
are exceptionally rare. Disc is in V+ condition, has a few minor marks
but has some groove wear and stressed grooves, it plays fairly well
though and surface is pretty quiet, inevitably with the wear it is has
some distortion in loud passages throughout the disc but not too bad
and is an acceptable copy of this rare and sought after disc. Bowlly
sings on "Song Of The Wanderer", "Halleluja" is an instrumental, Bowlly
may well play Guitar & Banjo on this side.
Very Rare Disc,
It could be some considerable time before you see this one again, Don't
Miss out!
Grading of 78s is as
