For Sale is this wonderful Reel To Reel Tape Recorder from AKAI.The Reel To Reel is an absolutely rare version with different properties.

The GX-260D is a oldest version of 260-Series and was built between 1973 and 1976.It has like other GX-260 Series 2 Speeds  3 3/4 ips - 7 1/2 ips!

All sets from the 260-series have at least one important thing in common: they all have a symmetrical head design with a centre capstan and a 6 head system, which allows the user to play and record in both forward and reverse mode.
The AKAI GX-260D comes with a rare original Plastic Dustcover to Sale.It is in good condition but not top.It is very difficult to find a original Dustcover for AKAI GX-260D! 

 The Reel to Reel Tape Recorder is in an EXCELLENT CONDITION and it is FULLY FUNCTIONAL.

It is from my-Collection and it means from a non-smoking environment.

Play and Record with a EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY!!! Play,Record,Fast Forward & Rewind functions run smooth and noiseless!

The Wood Cabinet and also the Panel is in an excellent Condition!

This set has lacks a pause function. The GX-260D is controlled by relays and has a belt driven capstan, although direct drive sets already existed, like the 250D and the GX-280D.

This set is the only one from the 260-series with a Sound On Sound function.

It has an output level knob on the back of the unit, next to the line in/line out jacks. Because of separated line/mic rec levers, line/mic mixing is possible. The line/mic potentiometers have a small ball bearing and they work by degrees.

Made in Japan!

The GX-260D has the famous GX-Head Technology!  Glass & X`tal Ferrite Heads are the best Heads.That means the heads haves a lifelong warranty.The Qualtiy is PERFECT !
