I was born and raised in Nigeria following my father's posting in the forties. My family went on to live in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania visiting many other African countries and over this period collected many tribal arts. The collection is considerable and I have decided to dispose of some because of a change in lifestyle.

A STRIKING PRINT COPY OF A MID 20TH CENTURY SKILLED CHARCOAL PORTRAIT OFFERED AS A GIFT IN IBADAN TO THE FAMILY. THE DATE ON THE SECOND IMAGE LISTED APPEARS TO READ 1937 BUT THE NEWSPAPER CUTTINGS ON THE ORIGINAL REAR/MOUNT ARE DATED 1957 WHICH WOULD SUGGEST THIS IS THE DATE OF THE SKETCH.
