Nice carved bust of a tribesman/chief

the bust is  7  1/2 inches ( 19cms )  tall

the base has split on the front up to the bottom of his neck although it is not loose (see pic)

I do not know what type of wood  - but it is heavy for its size  600grms

quality carving - nice item despite the split
