  A CHARMING ORIGINAL GERMAN ART PRINT DATING FROM THE 1960'S.

This charming print is one from a series of 52 dog prints originally published in a Berlin Newspaper in the 1960's.

During the 1960's the Berliner Newspaper provided colorful, detailed dog prints from various German animal artists in a special section of their newspaper. This lovely collection comes from the highly regarded animal artist R. Scholz.

Scholz specialized in paintings and etchings of dogs of all breeds. He worked in pencil, pen, ink and oil and was best known for his work in pastels. His brilliant color dog illustrations such as these, were highly prized and collected.
