Hardly the 'electronic' adaptershould be  the right name for it.    Basically it is anemulator of Canon EF AF lens, by permanently attaching a 'smart' PCB on aconventional lens mount adapter.

what it does ?

It brings in two great featuresto your manual lenses when they're mounted on a Canon EOSbody.    

I)  prompt for focusconfirmation --  no more guestimation for focus,  for example, my 10Dwill beep when I rotate the lens focusing ring and the focus is reached.

II) you'll get your desiredlight metering modes..    By using conventional mechanic adapters, we can only use center-weighted light metering.

work for my Canon ?

a) it works instantly withCanon EOS 300d (digital rebel), 350d (rebel xt), 400d (rebel xti), 10d, 20d, 30d

b) it also works for any FilmEOS Canon,  and 1D series digital Canon EOS body, and 5D,  but withextra steps..
