FLIRTY GIRL

Dark strands of hair in warm colors surround the face of this lovely whimsical girl with the aqua eyes. Kaleidoscope-like flowers float around her. This charming ACEO was created by Northern California artist Paula Di Leo using vibrant permanent ink on acid-free Bristol board. It is signed and dated on the back and will be sent to you in a protective plastic sleeve.

 ACEO’s are great little works of art that can cheer, inspire and add a spot of color in an intimate space. They can be framed and placed in your home, office or cubicle or given away as gifts. One thing you might want to do is copy the information about the artist, if available, to make your gift even more special.

Thanks for taking a look at my artwork. I love creating art “in miniature” and enjoy the challenge of coming up with new ideas. Many of my pieces are inspired by my years of living in North Africa as a child. Seeing the women in their vibrantly patterned clothes really made an impression on me. I love working with bright inks, oil pastel and prismacolor pencil. Creating happy, humorous art that pops with color and pattern allows me to unleash my “inner hippie”! Women and cats are my favorite subjects.

My studio overlooks 3 acres of field dotted with oak trees, and, depending on the season, an occasional cow or two. The beautiful scenery, and music on my computer helps set the mood for me to create my ACEO’s. Currently I’m in a local gallery where my collage, acrylic on canvas and handmade note cards are featured.
