A victorian oil painting in an antique gilt frame.

 A decorative nineteenth century gesso on pine gilt picture frame for restoration. The flash photography flatters this antique frame, in reality it is more of a dark orange colour rather than gilt, due to years of exposure to nicotine.
On the plus side it is in remarkably good condition, with just very minor nibbles around the outer edge. So, what we have here is a victorian frame in need of regilding, once that is done it would look absolutely stunning.
It come complete with original landscape oil painting on board, which is unsigned.
