Thomas Nelson and Sons. Hardcover. No date 1920s or earlier. F. M. B. Blaikie (illustrator). Gray boards with black lettering to spine and front. Black decor around pictorial front. Full colour picture measuring 4 by 5.5 inches. . Full colour frontispiece, same picture as cover, entitled "the rider stopped, and handed the passenger a small folded paper". Contents list. List of 8 Illustrations. 161 pages.  13x20 cms.  400g.

Book condition:  Good, foxing to closed page edges and endpapers and with spots throughout, missing one plate and frontis loose and consequently damaged around edges, slight yellowing to pages, bent corners, rubbing to edges, otherwise clean and tight.
