This is a wonderful George III solid silver christening cup, the christening cup has a few scratches around the assay marks, the christening cup was very dirty when we bought it, but after given it a good clean, we noticed that someone had scratched it, to find out if it was silver, the scratches can easily be removed by any good silversmith, but apart from the scratches, this christening cup is in mint condition for its age, there are no dents, damage or repairs, it was made in London 1813-1814, the makers mark is a lit bit hard to make out. The size of the stunning christening mug is 65mm tall x 52mm in diameter, it weighs 97.2 grams (3.43 oz ).
