These are really delightful, a pair of bronze ormolu tie back hooks from France. They date from the 19th century and the design is of a vase with roses and flowers in at the front and an urn with flowers in on the back-plate.

The pair are stamped with 'J.D.' on the reverse side. There is a bar on the back of each, for fixing, which is how the French do it. You could drill a hole through the backplate for a better fixing perhaps.

The dimensions are: 5 1/2" high by 2 1/4" wide with a projection of about 4".
