A VINTAGE EASEL , SHABBY CHIC /COUNTRY LIVING.

Probably made of Beech.

This is a wonderful Vintage 50's?  free standing easel .

It has a super  light colour which shows signs of wear and knocks over the years, commensurate with the age and nature of the item. It looks to have been untouched since it was made and still has its original hinges (surface rust) and rope stay. It stands 179cms tall, 72 cms width at base and tapering to 31 cms at the top.

These old easels are a wonderful way to display prints, paintings, mirrors and of course the traditional blackboard. This has a simple minimalist style about it but  I think it would work  well in any home.

It does need a pair of pegs making for it and a light wax would be beneficial.
