Hi,i have for sale a really nice solid marble London street sign for St Barnabas st in the city of Westminster.This sign is set in an Oak frame and is in lovely original condition.With the frame this sign measures 36 inches long 13 1/2 inches high,if you include the back battons the sign measures 18 inches high.The marble is in lovely condition and has a thickness of around 1/2 inch,the letters are well executed and deeply cut.I havent re painted this,all i have done is to strip the brown paint off the wood,applied a good quality polish to it and then cleaned it up.This really is a lovely sign and will look great when mounted,remember this was only a stones throw away from where Jack the Ripper haunted London and this would have certainly been there at that time.This is council cleared and was originally bought from a good Antiques fair.This will be well packed and i might have to make a wooden case for this.Please allow 2 days before i actually send it off though.The postage will be £14 to send by courier,Many thanks for looking.(;o)
