 A Fine Regency 'Faux' Tortoiseshell And Mother Of Pearl Tea Caddy.

This stunning 'faux' shell tea caddy has some superb features. Mother of Pearl inlaid to top and front in a superb display of flowers and leaves all nicely etched. A twin compartment caddy with two interior lids also finished in 'faux' shell with button knobs and full silvered lining worn, fully working lock with replacement key. Interior top edges and base are lipped with 'faux' bone. A grand octaganal shaped piece and very fine silver stringing to all edge joints. Cloth to inside lid. Seated on four bun feet. No major chips to shell.

Height 15.5cm. Width 18.5cm. Depth 10.5cm.

A delightful example and would compliment any collection or showroom!!
