Wedgbury Antiques
A Chinese Armorial  Porcelain Teabowl & Saucer. c.1765. A very pretty and attractively shaped  Chinese export porcelain teabowl and saucer dating from 1760-70. The 'soft  paste' body typically finely painted in underglaze blue with an unidentified  coat of arms (The fact that the arms are within a lozenge indicates they were  for a women, probably an unmarried daughter) that are painted in enamels and gilt to the well of the saucer and two sides  of the bowl  The saucer measures 11.8cm. (4.65 inches) diameter. The teabowl is 7.1cm. diameter and 4cm. high.  They have no marks to the base.


Condition:  Good, no chips, cracks or restoration.  Some wear to the gilding.  Please study my pictures.

Shipping is charged at cost with a  small amount added to cover the cost of quality packaging materials.   Example:- A  2KG. parcel to the USA by airmail, insured against Loss (UK  postal service does not cover ceramic items against damage) up to GBP 500 ( approx $750 ) would cost GBP 25 ( $37.50 ).  Most smaller items, for example, a cup and saucer or a single plate,  would cost around GBP 8-16. depending on the weight of the packed item. If you are concerned about the shipping cost for an item you are interested in. Please e-mail for a quote before bidding. 

Please Note. eBay has now removed the option of uninsured shipping, consequently  all items will be sent by tracked insured services. The extra cost will be  reflected in the postage/shipping quoted on each individual auction lot.  I always pack  delicate items very carefully (see my feedback) and clearly mark them 'Fragile'.
