A Chalet School Headmistress is a 'fill in' title set during the same term as Mystery at the Chalet School, and it has developed themes that were suggested in Gay from China at the Chalet School.  The GGB edition released in 2004 sold out very quickly and is now long out of print.

 

This GGB edition comes with an interesting forward by the author as to her reasons for writing 'Headmistress' and where it should slot into the original series. For fans of these school stories, this book offers a chance to revisit Elinor Brent-Dyer's much loved Chalet School.
