What is "Low-Self-Discharge" technology?
There are a number of sellers who will have you believe that this is "new technology" & somehow better than all that has gone before. Well here are the facts.....
This technology has been around for about 2 years - we have been selling them for that long.
The term low self discharge means that the battery will not run down after being charged anything like as fast as a conventional NiMH or NiCd rechargeable battery would. After being charged, these batteries will typically retain 80% of that charge after 6 months, and 70% after 12 months, this makes them ideal for applications where they receive occasional light use, basically after being left for a couple of months you can just pick up where you left off.
Sounds good? Well as in all things that seem great there is always a catch - this is what the other guys selling this type of battery don't tell you - due to a combination of them not understanding the product & not wanting to lose a sale.
There are principally 3 down-sides:
1) The batteries have a lower capacity than standard NiMH types - typically about 20% lower. If your batteries get used very frequently, these are not the best choice, you will get better perfomence from the standard 2600mAh types such as the ones we sell.
2) The batteries cannot be fast charged in the same way that conventional NiMH types can. We recommend that these packs be charged at no more than 1,000mA
3) The packs cannot provide the same current output as standard types, so this makes them unsuitable for motor applications, or other high current uses (although as a transmitter pack they are fine)

Internal Resistance: <220mOhms when fully charged (<30mOhms per cell)
These batteries give around 3 times the capacity (& hence running time) of most NiCd types, without any of the memory effects. This means that they can be recharged even when not fully drained, i.e. you can just "top them up"

We endeavour to ship every order within 1 (working) day of being placed.
Unlike many of the products currently advertised on ebay, these are shipped from the UK, and so in the majority of cases they will be received the day after we receive payment - just check our feedback to see this.
Goods are packed in padded envelopes, or larger orders will be packed into strong cardboard boxes, and sent by first class Royal Mail - Certificates of posting are always obtained. Recorded delivery is offered as an option.
We will ship to ANYWHERE in the world – as long as the Royal Mail will let us! Although for Italy postal insurance is COMPULSORY, this is due to the very high levels of Italian buyers who claim that goods have not been received, if in any doubt, just ask for an accurate price.
Where payment is by cheque we usually ship straight away – we won’t make you wait for a week!
If you buy from any of our other auctions as well, please contact us for a combined postage amount, this will usually save you money over the way Ebay will calculate it, due to the fact that ebay cannot apply postage discounts where items have come from different listings.
