The Lencarta light tent
is designed
to evenly diffuse and distribute harsh external light,
creating a small, shadowless lighting environment ideal
for product and still life photography. Our light tent
is manufactured from pure white translucent flock fabric
especially designed for the photographic industry. The Japanese-made fabric, unique to Lencarta,
is lined with fine micro nylon fibre, which is
non-reflective and great for diffusing light.
The
light tent filters the light and eliminates both
shadows and reflections. It is durable and totally
colour neutral. Anyone can create clean and professional
product photos within seconds, even with no prior
experience.
This kit includes the
entire set of studio equipment needed to maximise the
potential of your light tent.

The
Lighting |
|
The most important
factor in successful product photography is light
diffusion, otherwise known as the softening of light.
Untreated light is blunt and harsh, causing shadows,
glare, reflections and hotspots. The Lencarta light tent
softens harsh lighting to create a backgroundless soft
light environment.
Ordinary household lamps are unsuitable
for taking professional product photos, as they have a
yellowish colour which distorts the true appearance of
the object. The colour of light
(known as the Colour Temperature) is measured in units
of Kelvin (K). The ideal colour temperature for
professional product photography is 5400K.
This is a pure white light which best represents the
colour of sun light at around mid-day. Photos shot under
such light vividly reproduces the colours of the
original object. Time consuming colour balancing on a
computer is no longer needed.
Please note that a lot of photographic
lights on offer do not emit day light. They typically
have a colour temperature of less than 4000K, and cast a
yellow hue to your images.
The Lencarta light set uses eight 5100K
daylight balanced photographic flood bulbs that produce
vivid daylight. The equipment is very economic to run,
as the bulbs consume little power. The light bulbs stay
cool and are safe to touch. They do not heat up the lamp
holders, light tent or the item being photographed.
Better still the light bulbs have a long life span of
8,000 hours.

A feature unique
to Lencarta, all our light tents have two openings - top and side. This
feature adds versatility to the light tent, allowing extra options. Especially
useful when photographing objects fixed to the ground, or difficult
to place into the cube. The removable panels are held with Velcro strips. |
