MOTHER MARGUERITE BOURGEOYS

800 SILVER RELIC RELIQUARY

 

From the early 1950’s, this nice relic reliquary has a diameter of appox.1 1/4" and is made of 800 silver with a nice gilded silver cover. It contains a relic of Mother Marguerite Bourgeoys. Marked 800 on reverse it has a hallmark. Wax seal and threads are intact. This is a very nice relic reliquary in very good used condition.

Mother Marguerite Bourgeoys is the founder of the Congregation of Notre Dame. She was beatified by Pope Pius XII in 1950 and was made the first Canadian woman saint in 1982 by Pope John Paul II.

As per ebay’s rules this reliquary does not contain human remains but only objects of devotion.
