DESCRIPTION
Finally a beautiful and classic ballet barre assembly that is comfortable in the home or studio. This modular system has a classic light wood barre with striking black powder coated brackets. It will blend in and look great in any room of your home. We designed these ballet barres for our daughters' professional dance studio because we couldn't find anything on the market that worked to our satisfaction. They were designed for continuous uninterrupted installation as you can see in the photographs and can be purchased in various lengths of 4 and six feet. We also offer custom lengths, so email for a quote if you don't see a length you need.

BENEFITS
1. Professional grade for home or studio.
2. Sturdy wood barres that will not transfer cold to dancers’ arms.
3. Modular to fit nearly any continuous dimension.
4. Double barre for children’s growth and for use in various dance and stretch positions.
5. Thicker (1-3/4”) barre to avoid grabbing habit and to better support various dance and stretching moves at the barre.
6. Unique low gloss black powder coated finish (airline cockpit technology).
7. Welded steel wall brackets that must be anchored into wood studs for added security. (Metal studs must have adequate wood backup. See our installation guidelines elsewhere in our store. Typical installation is centerline of top bracket 40"- 42" off the floor.)
8. Optional concrete wall installation. (Buyer must provide own concrete anchors and screws for attachment.)
9. Brackets are strong with a big angled cant allowing the dancer to place their foot on the barre without their heel hitting the bracket.
10. The bracket attachment is a complete tube with lock tap which eliminates the problem of the barre rolling or tipping from lack of support. (Please note that the barres will fit tight into the brackets. This could cause some minimal marking on the barres during installation. We suggest you use light sandpaper and/or a rag to remove any markings. This is one of the reasons we do not finish our barres. We prefer a tight fit between barre and bracket and the patina of time to grace the wood. Or you could finish and seal the exposed wood after installation if you prefer.)
11. This barre is designed to fit either a plain or mirrored wall (see photographs for continuous mirrored installation). The base of the bracket will shim out nicely flush with most mirrors. You must leave a minimum 1/4" gap between the bracket base and the mirror to avoid cracking of the glass. You can leave the joint open or you can caulk it.
BUYER NOTES
Our children are both in professional dance training including ballet instruction from teachers trained at ABT, New York City Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet. We have seen a lot of national studios and many ballet barre installations. Therefore, we have some food for thought on purchasing barres.
· Barres are heavy and cumbersome to package and ship. Offers of "free or reduced shipping" will ultimately affect product quality.
· Most adjustable brackets need to be spaced too close together for support to offer any real advantage or stability. And we’ve found that very few actually adjust the brackets.
· Barres that are less than 1 3/4" in diameter are less stable, will need more support and are more likely to warp.
· Barres that must be drilled into with screws or other attachments can easily split if not installed properly.
· Brackets that are not angled down away from the bar could cause heel injury.
· Our barres and brackets are made in the U.S.A.
SHIPPING & NOTES
· Item will be securely shipped.
· Most barres ship within 5 days, but since we use just in time warehousing to keep your costs down and since this assembly is so popular, handling time can take up to 14 days. If you have timing concerns, please email us prior to shipping.
· We ship this assembly using either USPS or UPS depending on availability and cost. This means we can only ship to an address, not a PO Box.
· Shipping and handling costs are a little higher because of the size, weight and multiple packaging required. Assembly will come in multiple packages and could arrive separately on different days.
· Photos are for illustration only, not for installation. Close-ups of brackets are provided for finish and detail illustration.
· Manufactured and painted in the U.S.A.
· Items other than described in elements above are for illustration only.
