Neodymium
magnets are the strongest magnets that are commercially
available. Sometimes they are referred to as Rare Earth,
Permanent or NdFeB magnets. They are an alloy of
Neodymium, Iron and Boron (NdFeB). Unless otherwise
noted, these magnets will have a triple plating of
Nickel-Copper-Nickel.
This tiny magnet is quite incredible. I used two of them together to suspend a hammer! I tried a single magnet, but the hammer almost hit one of the cats - not a good thing despite what some may think. Using just one I was able to easily hold an insert from The Times. That insert is 8 pages and just under A4 size.
You can use them for science experiments, powerful refrigerator magnets, or who knows. The possibilities are nearly endless. Well, nearly endless for what a magnet can do. After all, a magnet most likely will not stop the conflicts in the world or keep people from having a mullet - but you never know.
Also available in lots of
20 and 200 in the Disc
Magnets section in our eBay
Shop. The lots of 20 are priced right to be good value
no matter how many you purchase. |
