The scrolls are made of textured rice paper and supported top and bottom with wooden beams. They measure 1ft in length each (Exact measurements = 8 inches wide and 14 1/2 inches long) They are ready to be hung directly on the wall and do not require framing.

The samurai class lived by seven main virtues:-

(gi)Rectitude, (yuu)Courage, (jin)Benevolence, (rei)Respect, (makoto) Honesty, (meiyo) Honour and (chuugi)Loyalty.

All seven virtues are beautifully hand brushed onto traditional calligraphy scrolls made of a textured rice paper and supported top and bottom by wooden beams.

Each piece is created using genuine sumi ink mixed from a traditional stick of solid ink, and provided on quality textured paper. Mixing the ink by hand gives the work a much higher artistic merit, bringing out subtleties that the lesser quality inks fail to do. Every piece is also signed and stamped with the artist's unique hanko (signature stamp).
