7/8" RARE NAKED SINGLE RIBBON ONIONSKIN MARBLE Marbles We are selling an vintage estate found collection of Victorian Handmade Marbles, we will combine shipping so please check out our other Marble Auctions ** ALL ORIGINAL SURFACE WITH NO POLISHING ** ** DATING FROM THE MID TO LATE 1800's **
A very rare large 7/8" RARE NAKED SINGLE RIBBON "ONIONSKIN" MARBLE ... This is the FIRST Naked Single Ribbon Core made from ONIONSKIN type material we have ever seen. We do not know just how rare this combination is so have started the auction at 99p no reserve! The Thin Onionskin Ribbon is mainly Red and White, although there is a Blue patch also. The clear glass is fairly bubbly and adds to the overall effect.
MAIN DESIGN: NAKED SINGLE RIBBON "ONIONSKIN" MARBLE OUTER DESIGN: NAKED SINGLE RIBBON "ONIONSKIN" MARBLE SIZE (Diameter): Approx. 22.7 mm's (Just over 7/8") PONTILS: 1 x Facetted and Polished Pontil CONDITION: In about Mint condition (approx. 80-85% original surface sheen) Lovely marble with one small chip or burst bubble and a couple of very minor rough spots - no moons. (please see the large photos).
