I prefer Paypal but will accept GBP personal cheques and postal orders. International bidders, Paypal ONLY please.

I try to keep postal charges as reasonable as I can. I pack all postcards in a new clear plastic (Polyprotec) protective wallet and then this is placed in a hard back envelope together with a printed copy of your order details.

I take pride in my packing, so please take this into account when you judge my charges that all of that is new and costs money on top of postage.

I post to most international destinations. Please if you win a high value item from me, choose the Special Delivery, or Air Sure if international, as these will be insured and safer all round.


I will refund anything that you are unhappy with.  If there is a clear date on the postcard I will mention this in the title of the item. I will not describe any items as each of us has differing opinions on what the condition of a postcard actually is - what I do though is include a large scanned copy of the postcard which will show up any faults clearly.

I have always had an avid interest in history and collecting postcards was one of my very first ventures into the collecting world when just a teenager.

One hundred years ago collecting postcards was a widespread and popular pursuit. Postcards were collected by all walks of people, young and old, men and women, and it was commonplace and indeed fashionable among the middle classes to have an album of these mementoes.

Many a card bore the message 'here is another one for your collection' or 'I was very pleased with the last card you sent me as I did not have it'. Postcard collecting was the hobby everyone could afford and enjoy.

Today these postcards offer a window into the social history of the time and to what changes have taken place in local areas.
