Wireless Signal range??: Very strong signal. I have it in the Hall-way downstairs and I could get excellent signal upstairs, in the loft, in the kitchen, in the garden and up the street roughly 30-40 Meters. But please note in different area the signal may work at different range but I can say for sure that the signal is very very strong and will be more then enough for a home or office users.
Security keep Hackers away: Multiple protection ways. In AP Router Mode, it can be set to turn off the wireless network name (SSID) broadcast so that only stations that have the SSID can be connected. Question: Is it easy to Install / Configure and does it come with Installation Guide software.
Answer: It is very very easy to install. The Installation guide and other guides comes on included CD. Plus Quick user guide hard copy.
HERE IT IS QUICK SETUP GUIDE. 1) Some Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem has a USB cable, If you’re Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem has one take it off from the back, you must not use this USB Cable any more when using this router.
2) Take off the Power Cable from the back of your Virgin Media, NTL, and Cable Modem. That means no Power to it while doing the settings.
3) Make sure the Pluscom Router is off also by unplugging the Power Cable.
4) Make sure your Computer is switched off.
5) Now connect your Virgin Media, NTL, and Cable Modem to the Router’s WAN Port by Ethernet RJ45 Cable which came with your Virgin Media, NTL, and Cable Modem.
6) Power on the Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem.
7) Power on the Pluscom Router.
8) Power on your computer.
9) Connect your Computer to the router By Ethernet Cable to any of the LAN Port from 1 to 4 or wirelessly if your computer has wireless LAN adapter. Note: Virgin Media NTL Cable Modem MUST NOT be connected to your computer directly; it should only be connected to the router’s WAN Port.
10) Your computer should now have the Internet.
Question: Will I need to leave one computer on all the time so other computer can get internet?
Answer: No as this will be connected to your Virgin media, Cable, DSL, NTL, Telewest or ADSL Ethernet ADSL Modem and then any computer connected to this router wirelessly, wired will get internet connection.

Question: MY NTL Broadband Modem connects with a COAX CABLE Will this unit take this type of Connection?
Answer: You can't connect this to the COAX Cable, but yes, you can connect the Virgin Media, NTL, Telewest, Mynow, ADSL Ethernet modem to this router WAN Port by RJ45 Ethernet Network cable. NOTE: This does not have RJ11 WAN port to this you can not connect ADSL RJ11 lines. This has RJ45 WAN Port for Cable DSL, Virgin Media and so on Modem.
Question: Does this work on BT line??
Answer: No it is only for Virgin Media, NTL, Telewest, Mynow modems. It does not have RJ11 WAN port it has RJ45 Ethernet wan port to which you can only connect Ethernet Cable not a phone type connection. It also can be connected to Ethernet ADSL Modem and Ethernet ADSL modem can be connected to BT Lines. For BT Line ADSL Services see our ADSL 2/2+ AP Routers.
