This is a superb Namibian Gem Quality Mandarin Orange Spessartite Garnet that has been carved into a "Laughing Buddha"  This piece is totally natural with no heat treatment. The colour is an attractive radiant  (Fanta) orange which is unusually fine.

This stone is transparent with a superb polished finish

Namibian Pure Real Mandarin Orange Spessartite is a very rare connoisseur's gemstone. These special orange garnets were first found in 1991 where the Kunene river flows along the rugged mountains in northwest Namibia along the Angolan border. The Namibian mines have actually produced fewer than 50 kilos of quality cuttable Mandarin orange spessartite garnet !!  The rarest, most valuable, and most highly sought after colour is the MANDARIN ORANGE.  This is a unique chance for Buddha collectors to acquire something very special and very rare!!!
