50 Palm Tree Seeds - ROYSTONEA REGIA - "Cuban Royal Palm"

All of my seeds are very fresh and are purchased from a reputable UK based specialist. As freshness is key to success I recommend that you plant them soon after purchase. Palm seeds can be grown all year round so there is no need to wait until spring. Light is not required for germination making an airing cupboard an ideal location. Well researched & detailed germination instructions are supplied as standard.

Roystonea regia is thought by many to be the most beautiful palm in the world. The trunk is whitish gray in colour and is swollen at the base. It constricts about halfway up then bulges again just below the crownshaft creating a dramatic and curvaceous profile. It has large bright green feathery leaves and is hardy to - 2 degrees C.

Native to Cuba and the Caribbean it can reach a maximum height of 75 feet (22 metres), much less in the UK. Given the right conditions it can put on upto 1 foot (30cm) of trunk per year. This palm likes bright sunny conditions and plenty of water. It can be tolerant of occasional flooding or drought.

This palm makes an excellent container plants and would make a spectacular addition to any patio or conservatory.
