Description: Round, planar shelled snails with bright red bodies. Consume algae.

Red ramshorn are a particularly rare and attractive breed of ramshorn with bright red bodies and red-brown shells, they are not only beneficial to your pond but also a feature in themselves.

You are bidding on 5 Red Ramshorn (Planorbis Rubrum) snails grown in our nursery, enough for a small pond or a aquarium. These healthy young snails are up to 20mm in size. All our snails are farm grown and disease free.

Red Ramshorn (PLANORBIS RUBRUM) snails are very beneficial to the pond ecosystem acting as natural filters for unwanted organic material. They will clear algae and other debris from the pond whilst leaving the plants untouched. These snails are also suitable for fish tanks, eating unwanted algae but leaving the plants undamaged.

Simply release these snails carefully into a quiet part of your pool. This quantity of snails should be suitable to establish the snails in a small to medium sized pond. COLD WATER ONLY.
