LORD OF THE RINGS MITHRIL MINIATURES SEALED IN GOOD CONDITION BLISTER PACKS. (Styles may vary)

These 32mm metal miniatures are undercoated in Mithril's special paint to allow for easy paint application if desired. Ideal for collectors as these blister packs are not opened or resealed. The figures have never been touched and are in mint condition.

Some assembly may be required for small parts like arms and accessories. Please use strong epoxy glue (not included) to fix these parts together before painting them.

Due to license restrictions Mithril cannot sell these miniatures through their official website so this is the ONLY place to locate them. These are very limited stock.

NOTE: These blisters are over 15 years old so the US dollar prices printed on the labels are NOT valid anymore. These are highly collectable and VERY rare.

Turin Turambar is a major figure from JRR Tolkien’s legendarium concerning the First Age of Middle-earth. Turin’s story can almost be paraphrased by a short passage in The Silmarillion: “Turin grew strong and fair in Doriath, but he was marked with sorrow”.

Who is Turin? 

He was the son of Hurin and Morwen. Morwen sent Turin to safety in Doriath, where he was fostered by Thingol. Turin fought beside Beleg in the marches of Doriath. He quarreled with Saeros and killed him when he returned to Menegroth. This caused him to flee and become an outlaw leader south of the River Teiglin. Beleg found him after a year and told him he could return but he refused. Turin captured Mim, who led him to the refuge of Bar-en-Danwedh on Amon Rudh. That winter he was rejoined by Beleg, and the Two Captains cleared the area of Orcs. Turin renamed himself Gorthol, for he wore the Dragon-helm of Dor-lomin (shown in M238) which Beleg had brought him, and the land he patrolled was named Dor-Cuarthol after the Helm of Turin and the Bow of Beleg. The story continues and is very tragic and heroic, partly due to the curse the Morgoth had lain on him.

Who were Finduilas and Gwindor?

'But Gwindor sat in dark thought; and on a time he spoke to Finduilas, saying: 'Daughter of the house of Finarfin, let no grief lie between us; for though Morgoth has laid my life in ruin, you still I love. Go whither love leads you; yet beware! ... A doom indeed lies on him, as seeing eyes may well read in him, but a dark doom. Enter not into it! And if you will, your love shall betray you to bitterness and death. For hearken to me! Though he be indeed agarwaen son of úmarth, his right name is Túrin son of Húrin, whom Morgoth holds in Angband, and whose kin he has cursed. Doubt not the power of Morgoth Bauglir! Is it not written in me?' Then Finduilas sat long in thought; but at the last she said only: 'Túrin son of Húrin loves me not; nor will.' (The Silmarillion, Túrin Turambar)

What are Wolf Sentinels?

Wolves had a measure of intelligence in the early times of Middle-earth and were used to guard camps of orcs. One such camp held Turin Turambar prisoner, and he was rescued by Beleg, who shot the wolves protecting the camp without alerting the orcs.

Who was Brodda and the Easterlings?

Easterlings are peoples who lived in the eastern part of Middle-earth and many were corrupted by Morgoth and served his domain.

Brodda took his abode in the south-east of Dor-lómin and seized most of the goods, people and cattle of Húrin former Lord of the land. Húrin's kinswoman Aerin he took to wife by force, as "he hoped to make himself a lordship in that country, and have an heir to hold it after him." "He was a bold man, but of small account among his own people before they came to Hithlum; and so, seeking wealth, he was ready to hold lands that others of his sort did not covet." The enthralled Men of Hador he set to build him a wooden hall, and "within a stockade his slaves were herded like cattle in a byre."[2]

Aerin helped Morwen in secret, and was beaten by Brodda for this. He was always afraid of Morwen, but when she finally departed from Dor-lómin, he took for himself all that remained of her household. When Túrin Turambar, son of Húrin, returned to Dor-lómin in Y.S. 495, he learned all this from Aerin, and in his rage he killed Brodda. The beggars of the former Folk of Hador that were in his house revolted then, and many were slain on both sides. Survivors fled into hiding, but Aerin's fate was sealed, and she burnt herself alive in Brodda's hall. The remainder of the House of Hador now was persecuted even more cruelly.

These are examples of the four blister packs.

This will make an excellent addition to any diorama, painted scene or display of Tolkien Lord of the Rings figures. It was designed by well known Mithril sculptor Chris Tubb.
