Gaffer Tape is designed to keep cable secure and help people from triping over wires. It can also be used for mending seats and tears in fabrics.

Duct Tape is usually for repairing leaky pipes etc.

Can I use Gaffer Tape for a Duct Tape Job?

Sometimes you can, it all depends on the substance in the pipe, the temperature & size of leak
