LIMITED SPECIAL OFFER: EXTRA 5g Milk Kefir Grains Bonus. 50g for the price of 45g whilst stock last! Milk Kefir Grain is a partnership between beneficial bacteria and yeasts resulting in florets of cauliflower appearance. The Kefir Grains changes normal milk into healthy Probiotic living food during the first 12 -24 hours fermentation period. It is not recommended to take Kefir at same time that one takes antibiotics but are highly recommended right before and right after any antibiotics or vaccinations both for humans and pets. You will receive 50g of Live Milk Kefir Grains, enough to make 2-3 pints of Healthy Probiotic Milk Kefir. This will be sufficient to start with as your body takes time to home the probiotic goodies. You will detox for the first few days (toilet) as the baddies will be flushed out of your body,so this quantity is more than enough. The GRAINS will grow on a daily basis, in little bits, which eventually coalesce (merge together) and become a larger GRAIN! Soon you will have too much! You can increase the MILK RATIO - per 50g between 1/2 cup to 4 cups of Milk (depends on how quick you want Kefir - the less Milk you use, the shorter time it takes especially if room temperature is warm) . Making kefir is easy. For more detailed information, please refer to Dom's website : http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/Makekefir.html 1) Just put the grains in 2-3 pints of milk (no need to warm it) and wait 12-24 hours depending on the room temperature. The cooler the temperature the slower the process. The higher the temperature the faster the process. Try 12 hours out on the kitchen counter and 12 hours in the fridge during summer. Keep it in a warm place or out on the kitchen counter during colder weather ie autumn/winter/spring. Omit putting in the fridge unless resting the kefir grains for no longer than one to two weeks in milk(changed occasionally to ensure that they are not starved of lactose). 2) Strain and drink or continue to ferment (even more probiotic/vitamin on day 2) and drink/flavor freely with fruits and cereals. You can also add a few grains of Sea Salt on top of your kefir to make it a lovely savoury drink! (WARNING: It gets addictive - in my experience!) My favourite is Healthy Smoothie with organic red grapes, bananas and pear - Leave it overnight in the fridge and drink the next day. It is so wonderfully light, fluffy and delicious yet filling that makes me feel so good! 3) Repeat the process as often as you like as it turns ordinary milk into a very economical healthy probiotic drink the whole family and pets can enjoy. The grains will increase and you can enjoy more probiotic beverage at no extra cost - just the milk! 4) Options: Raw goats milk makes a nice smooth kefir and is considered to be the healthiest. Try also the Buffalo Raw Milk as they make very delicious, thick and low fat kefir/yoghurt/cheese. Raw unpasteurized, non homogenized Cow Milk is next best option if you have access to a trustworthy/clean farm. The Milk Kefir Grains loves RAW MILK (live Milk with microorganisms) but they will still create healthy Probiotic Kefir with our normal Pasteurized Milk which is known as DEAD MILK (both organic and normal milk) as milk are heated to kill microorganisms that could contaminate the milk. The Kefir Grains does not care how much we pay for the milk as long as there are LACTOSE for them to digest! They do best in Full Fat Milk and Kefir produced are nice and thick like the commercial ones, only homemade is better as it uses Live Grains and not powdered ones! (More Probiotic Goodies) You can keep the grains for a very long time with good care! No cooking or special equipment needed unlike YOGHURT! Cats and Dogs like them too! Make sure they don't eat all your Kefir grains especially the cat! Great value for money - promote health and longevity for everyone in the family including pets! (One of my customer's clever dog tip the jar over for a Midnight Snack whilst everybody in bed, drank the Kefir and ATE ALL the Milk Kefir Grains - it can tell that the Kefir/Grains are very good for them and it was too much of a temptation!) WARNING: KEEP YOUR KEFIR JAR IN A SAFE PLACE FROM YOUR CLEVER PETS!! You will receive
further instructions via email on how to look after your Kefir Grains so that
they will last you forever. You will receive continuous support and
advice should you need it. From a smoke free home. Q & A 20-Oct-09 Question: Hi there - could I just ask if these babies have been raised on organic milk? If so, I'll definitely go for some! Also, what is the medium you mentioned (kefirate?) in which they will be delivered? Cheers, Answer: I uses Full Fat Milk sourced from wholesalers in bulk as they are fresher and my Kefir grains thrive on it. I use normal milk and occasionally I use Raw Unpasteurised Organic Cows Milk and Buffalo Milk when I go to London's Sunday Farmer Market in Marylebone Street. You can use Organic Milk as your main preference but as long as the grains have lactose to digest, they will happily convert them to probiotic goodies. Pasteurised milk are dead milk, so I prefer RAW Organic Cow Milk which costs more ie. £1.40 for 2 pints. Raw Organic Buffalo Milk makes the most delicious kefir (very low in fat and nice kefir cheese/yoghurt too!) £1.30 per 1 pint. The Kefir grains are carefully/lovingly packed with dried semi skimmed milk fortified with vitamins to sustain these wonderful grains for their trip to their permanent new homes. I cannot use liquid milk as I had tested this method - the milk turned smelly/contaminated and the poor grains(volunteers) did not grow and took much longer period to save them! Luckily they are now back to normal! I do treat them like pets as they are living organisms! |
