40 gold plated medium (8mm) clasps/clamps for ribbon/leather etc I'm not sure what the correct name for these items is but I use them for gripping the ends of ribbon, as in the picture here, which shows the largest size of clamp that I sell:
 These medium sized clamps have smooth outer edges, so differ in appearance from the photo. They are approximately 8mm wide and 5mm along the sides, not including the loop along the back edge. To use them, position them on the edge of the ribbon and close them using flat pliers - they are made from quite a strong metal, so you will need to apply quite a lot of force for this. If they were softer, they would come apart too easily. You may be able to see from the photo below that one of the closing edges has very slight 'teeth' along it, to ensure a good grip. The loop along the back edge can be attached to a jump ring or other connection, to fix to a clasp for completing your design. I am selling the gold plated clamps here, in packs of 40, enough for 20 ribbon necklaces, or whatever else you have in mind! For multiple item purchases, I offer postage discounts at the rates shown below, on condition that the items are paid for in a single transaction. The postage discount for orders within the UK should be applied when you complete the checkout but if the total does not seem to be correct, please contact me and I will send you an invoice manually. For orders within Europe, the discount should be applied but, if you are ordering more than 12 items, I will need to adjust the total to make sure that it does not exceed my maximum charge. The postage charge to certain countries, eg Turkey, may appear as the higher, worldwide, charge, even though the Royal Mail charges European postage rates for these destinations. If this applies to your order, I will need to manually correct the postage to show my European charges. Please contact me if you have any queries of this nature. UK: I charge 65p for the first item and 5p for each additional item, up to a maximum charge of £1. Items will be sent First Class and will normally be posted within one working day of payment being received. Europe: I charge 90p for the first item and 10p for each additional item, up to a maximum charge of £2. Items will be sent by Airmail and will normally be posted within two working days of payment being received. Everywhere else: I charge 40p for packaging and handling, plus the Royal Mail Airmail cost for your specific order (calculated by weight). At the current Royal Mail Airmail charges for 'small packets', this means that my minimum postage charge, for packages up to 100g, will be £2.08. My maximum charge for a single order will be £4. Items will be sent by Airmail and will normally be posted within two working days of payment being received. |
