Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) 'ITALIAN WHITE' - Flowers June - late September
Hardy Annual. Easy to grow. Prefers a well drained soil in full sun. Height to 4 feet. Crisp, creamy flowers with black centres. Can be used in borders as a centrepiece in beds. Can be used as a cut flower.
Sow seed March-August in intervals and maintain a temperature of 15-18°C. Lightly cover seeds with vermiculite or sand. Can be grown in seed trays or in small pots. Keep soil slightly moist but do not over-water. When large enough to handle plant into final flowering positions.
If preferred could be sown directly into the open ground in final flowering positions between April to mid-July.
