BA CHAIR 1945

The BA Chair was first exhibited at the

BRITAIN CAN MAKE IT

EXHIBITION OF 1946

The design was awarded a gold medal at the Milan lX Triennale in 1951. 

Ernest Race went on to design furniture for the

 Festival of Britain

1951

The 4 chairs are in original condition and have not restored or repaired, all are very sound.

The back support on all 4 chairs have worn on the corners and the 2 seats have marks (dark stain and a paint mark).

The aluminuim frames of the chairs are in the original battleship grey colour which all show scratches to the paintwork.

Overall these chairs are a real find in good honest condition that can be restored if you desire.
