This utterly astonishing ring is set with a certificated, natural, earth-mined, radiant-cut diamond. It weighs an immense 4.02 full carats and possesses Excellent finish grade.

This diamond is of exceptional white colour D, so it is the most perfect white colour possible. Its colour could not be improved upon and this is the highest colour-grade that any diamond can be awarded. It is of very good VS2 clarity, so it is a beautifully clear and transparent diamond - totally clean to the naked eye. (Please see GIA chart below for further information on colour and clarity.)

As a radiant-cut diamond, it combines the avant-garde elegance of the emerald-cut, with the intense luminosity of the round brilliant-cut. Its many facets maximize its light refraction properties. It appears to be alive, with beams of light leaping from deep within the stone.

Set into each shoulder is a tapered princess-cut diamond, of approximate D / VS2 quality. Together, these shoulder diamonds weigh a considerable total of 0.70 carat. They make a splendid, glittering frame for the central diamond.

A tapered princess-cut diamond is very unusual indeed. It combines the elongated tapered shape of the baguette-cut, with the sparkle-factor of the square princess-cut. A standard tapered baguette-cut diamond has stepped facets that run parallel with its sides. However, a tapered princess-cut diamond is cut with its facets radiating from the centre of the stone. Therefore, it sparkles like a princess-cut, or round brilliant-cut diamond. Tapered princess-cut diamonds give the shoulders of a ring a special radiance, that baguette-cut shoulder diamonds cannot.

The shank is substantially-made of solid, fully-hallmarked platinum 950, the noblest of the precious metals. When you really get to know platinum, the other precious metals will fade in significance: It has a density, whiteness, richness and brilliance that is second-to-none. Platinum is non-allergenic and compatible with all skin types. The ring is currently UK size N (USA size 7), but could easily be resized to fit, by your local high-street jeweller, if necessary.
