This magnificent ring is set with a certificated, natural, earth-mined Asscher-cut diamond.  It weighs a colossal 4.01 carat and possesses very good polish grade.

This diamond is of white colour H, which means that it is a beautifully white diamond.

It is of exemplary VVS2 clarity, and therefore it possesses a superb degree of transparency and purity. At this extreme top-end of the diamond-grading scales, the differences between diamonds are left only to the experts to ascertain, using laboratory equipment. An Asscher-Cut diamond is a stepped square cut, often called the "square emerald-cut", with cropped corners, enabling a 4-claw setting. The Asscher-cut is designed to draw the eye into the diamond and as such, you should always select the diamond with the highest clarity-grade that you can afford. Your gaze is pulled further and further in, by the mesmerising fluidity of the “pond-effect” of the diamond. It displays a spectacular kaleidoscope of flashing bars of light: Indeed, it is poetry in motion.

The shank is heavily-made of solid, fully-hallmarked platinum 950, the noblest of the precious metals. When you wear platinum, the other precious metals fade in significance: It is non-allergenic and has a density and richness that is second-to-none. Its natural whiteness is permanent, requiring no maintenance whatsoever (unlike white gold). The ring is currently UK size N (USA size 7), but could easily be resized to fit, if necessary here at Dogstone Designs.

Most diamonds, of this gargantuan size would be impressive. However, to see one, of such astonishing proportion AND quality, leaves me lost for the words to describe it!  It is utterly spectacular.  Photographs cannot depict the dazzling beams of light that emit from a diamond of this calibre. This ring is, without any doubt, fit for royalty. It is a truly divine combination of the most splendid raw materials, elegant design and very significant size.  It is a winner in every possible way.
