This Nipon 350x70 refractor scope is a compact and universal telescope with bright image quality and high magnification power. It is suitable for astronomical observations and for terrestrial use as a powerful spotting scope, with clear images even in low lighting conditions.

Main Features:

Optical System: Terrestrial Refractor

Fully multi-coated optics for excellent image contrast and light transmission.

Focal Length: 350mm

Objective Lens Diameter: 70mm

Eyepieces (2 eyepieces with standard 1.25” fitting): K9mm, K25mm

Finder Scope: 5x20mm (i.e., magnification 5x; objective lens 20mm)

Barlow Lens: magnification 3x

Correct image prism diagonal: 360° rotatable with 45° viewing angle. You get a terrestrially correct image as in binoculars, not an upside down image.

Magnification range: from 14x up to 120x power.

(Note: Magnification is arrived at by dividing the focal length of the telescope by the focal length of eyepiece. This scope can be fitted with other eyepieces for more magnification levels).

Rich-field observation: You get a very large field of view at 14x.

N.B.: This scope is adaptable to an electronic digital eyepiece/camera (no need to use an eyepiece adaptor) which can be directly connected to a desktop/laptop computer via a USB cable. You can see a distant object on the PC screen, adjust the scope’s focus for image clarity as necessary, and take pictures of the object by clicking the ‘take picture’ icon on the screen, and the picture is automatically saved into PC. You can also capture a video footage of distant scene and save the video file into the computer.

The scope can also adapt to different types of optical eyepieces (with standard 1.25” fitting).

With an adaptor and a T2 ring (not yet available from this shop), you can attach all common SLR cameras to this telescope. This will turn the scope into a telephoto lens with a focal length of 350mm at f/5.
