- What are the frequencies of red light and blue light?
Both red and blue light are part of the visible spectrum, this is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to (can be detected by) the human eye. Red light has a wavelength of 620-750nm and a frequency of 400-484THz. Blue light has a wavelength of 450-495nm and a frequency of 606-668THz.
- Why is red light important for plants?
The red region has a utilization peak around 660-670 nm for Chlorophyll A and around 635-645 nm for Chlorophyll B, depending on the source of information. Plants generally make good use of all red wavelengths except for ones much longer than 670 nm.
- Why is blue light important for plants?
Photosynthesis works most fundamentally from red light and secondarily from blue light. However, many plants have some need for blue light for proper growth regulation and/or flowering and/or fruiting.
- What can I grow?
You can grow any indoor plant with this Grow Fixture. To reduce postage costs orders for delivery outiside of the UK will usually be shipped direct from the manufacturers in China / Hong Kong. If you require the item to be shipped from the UK please contact us before purchasing and this can be discussed but the postage costs may be higher!
Returns Policy & 12 Month Guarantee
- In the unlikely event of a fault, we provide a repair or replacement guarantee. You send the item direct to the manufacturer who will repair or replace or refund the item (at their discretion) and return the item FREE OF CHARGE!
- The cost of returning any items are payable by the buyer and at the buyers risk (we recommend getting insurance and tracking details).
- Physical damage to a product caused by the buyer invalidates the warrenty, opening products up for repair or modify componets invalidates the warrenty as well as flashing the firmware or using non supplied / approved software.
- When ordering, please ensure that the item is correct for use in your country. Eg NTSC, Secam, Pal, DVB-t broadcasting, Power supply and chioce of colours as these are very difficult and costly to exchange.
- We accept returns of unwanted or unsuitable items at the buyers expense.
